Wiki's probably easiest, to be honest. There are a lot of Ultimate Universe comics and most of the stuff with Ultimate Reed turning evil happened after they started going downhill (the universe never really recovered from an incredibly badly written crossover event called Ultimatum that killed off tons of characters), so I haven't read that much of it myself. I did do a little bit of a post about the Ultimate Universe versions of Reed and Doom here, though it was mostly focused on Ultimate Doom.
Basically, in the Ultimate Universe the Fantastic Four are a lot younger, and their version of Doom was at school with Reed and the others and ended up getting powers in the same incident the Fantastic Four did. The Reed from that universe had a fairly crappy abusive home life, and after there was a big disaster that killed off most of the superheroes and the Fantastic Four split up, he ended up becoming a supervillain of the "anything is worth it to create a new more perfect world" type. He showed up in Secret Wars working with our universe's Reed against God Emperor Doom, but tried to betray the good guys in the end.
