I know we've briefly looked at all the previous wars that have happened in class, but nothing in detail. That man, Bertie Wooster, referred to the First World War as the "war to end all wars" which I could not comprehend. So I looked it up.
...People honestly believed that that war would solve everything and there would never be any need to fight again after it. The Second World War began more or less twenty years after the First ended.
Four centuries later and there are still wars going on.
