A/N: I wanted to write, didn't have inspiration. Then WMP started playing Nine Inch Nails' song A Warm Place and I knew exactly what to write.
Disclaimer: Meyer owns Jacob and Edward, they still haven't come here to clean up my room. Still waiting, though.
"I'm freezing", Jacob said. His hands were trembling and the mittens weren't warm enough. It was winding viciously and snowflakes weren't soft and beautiful but felt like needles falling from the sky, coming to pierce his skin.
"I'd hug you if it helped but it'd only make things worse", Edward smiled. He, however, put his arm around Jacob's shoulders and pulled the boy closer to him.
"You could protect me from the snowblades."
Chuckling, Edward pulled Jacob a little bit closer. The boy put his arms around Edward's waist and closed his eyes. The warmth inside overcame the coldness outside.
