This one is definitely based on a true story. We start introductions and I come to the realization that this web comic, video games, and the fact that I'm technically Hispanic (despite all appearances to the contrary) were the only things I had to say. Meanwhile everyone else had PhDs or vast contributions to society... it was pretty sad.
Also, you'll note I'm avoiding showing any of the other students for now. For one, if I draw one other student in the background, I'd need to draw several. For another, I don't really want any more characters - though I feel like I'll have to make some. A professor, if nothing else, would make sense. But I might pull a
PhD Comics and keep the prof faceless for now. It helps that one of the Anatomy professors looks JUST like Prof. Smith from those comics. So I feel like it's almost an homage. Which is fancy-talk for "stealing an idea."
Oh, and check that out - two comics in one week! And I figured out one reason I was having so many problems drawing on the WACOM all this time - I didn't have my elbow on anything. Which seems like it would've been obvious, but I only started doing that when drawing with pencil/paper about a year ago and not doing it with the Wacom was pretty normal (also, the desks don't allow for it here in school without some physical manipulation of the objects around me).
Finally, I'ma update tonight once more with the first drawing on the list: Lisa's request for Inoue and Ishida. It's probably not what she was expecting. Oh well! *grin*
