Guess what guess what guess what?
ITZ MAH BIRFDAY.
Yeah, I'm 28, and I still get six-year-old flaily over my birthday. :DDDDD
It's also Ash Wednesday, and despite being the World's Most Lackadaisical Episcopalian, old Catholic habits die hard and I will be celebrating in pescetarian style.
(Firefox's spellcheck does not recognize "pescetarian" as a valid word. Embrace alternate dietary styles, geez Firefox.)
I'm also actually giving something up for Lent this year - non-essential spending. I want to cut back on impulse shopping and save more money, so for the next 40 days...if I don't need it, I'm not buying it. I'm allowed to accept gifts (it is my birthday, after all), I can accept money (but not spend said money), I can craft stuff with the supplies I have on hand. But no new craft supplies, no new doll stuff, no new books. No trolling eBay and Craigslist, no Goodwill treasure-hunting, no trips to Michael's (no matter how good the coupon).
I love shopping. I want to see if I can actually do this.
(Okay, going over the dates in my head, I am making one loophole: I am allowed to buy non-essential items, if said items are birthday gifts for Pie. Her birthday is two weeks after Easter, and one of those weeks will be Apartment Moving Hell, so not a lot of wiggle room there.)
And now, I am off to bed, so that I may spend the next 23 hours and 33 minutes being obnoxiously cheerful at everyone I see. :D
