I bought
The War on DVD because it was too annoying trying to catch all of it when it aired on PBS, I'm 2 hours in and Germany hasn't really showed up yet, Hitler made a brief cameo for background purposes. Pretty epic.
I really like it, they've got a ton of footage I've never seen before, which is really my bread and butter, I love watching old war machines(some of which are still modern because they work too well to be retired) do what they do best. I think instead of boring controlled detonations for bringing down old buildings they ought to have a pay-per-shot Howitzer set up, maybe rent-by-the-hour dual .50cal machine gun turrets. I'm a huge proponent of destruction without loss of life.
I got my
waffle iron and
sugar in the mail yesterday and I'm gonna make me some
waffles tomorrow. I've craved them ever since I got back from Belgium, and now, the precious will be mine once more, yes.
