HOLY BUHJESUS this was a good weekend
well on friday i came home, released three fish into the big wild world of my fishtank, napped, photographed artsy things, and scanned photos into the computer. jessica sherrill and i also experienced some glorious re-friendulations via the internet (actually via livejournal commenting and a certain little non-friends-only post of hers), which was nice.
on saturday, i woke up really early because my dog is crazy and she hates sleeping in. then i got a shower after a while, went over to jessica's house after putting up with some overdue automotive stupidity from my paternal unit, provided jess with much-needed examples for her research paper/presentation stuff, and drooled on her bed while i was taking another nap. at about 3 something, i went over to hannah karr's house and we hung out and attempted to keep the dog away from her little sister's friends (it was her sister's birthday party), drove to publix to get a cookie cake, and later found out just how exhausting a moon bounce really is. we couldn't get through but maybe four or five games of dead man in a row because we are too out of shape and such. then we raced over to her dad's house and babysat her other little sister and made a bunch of muffins. then i was going to leave and experienced the much-expected old car woes, got lost on south parkway late at night, and drove home without being able to see my speedometer or the road in front of me. i eventually decided to just speed and find some headlights to mooch off of. then i cried a little because i'm upset that my car hates me when i love it so much.
well todayyyyyyyy, i woke up at 10 or something, ate some mini-eggo waffles, proved to my dad that i'm not an idiot and my car really won't start again because all he ever does is make it worse, and probably a few other unimportant things. then i went to panoply with my mom and my sister and megan browning and my dad tagged along and pretended to care about art and my mom. we pigged out on funnel cakes and walked through the student art section and i showed off my photo, then we went to get our faces painted but the line was too long. so we just left and went to costco, where they were having a cracker/fish sample day, so that got old really quickly because everything sucked. then we went to target and bought "kids paint", sidewalk paint, chalk, and a poster, walked over to barnes and noble, read some dr. seuss after a potty break, i bought seed magazine, then we went outside and painted the poster on those little tables out in front of b&n. once we finished with that, megan painted an icecream cone with bright blue icecream on my cheek, i painted a bright blue parasauropholus on her left leg, and a green and red penguin on my sister's right calf named mr. j xmas. they didn't understand my allusion to light in august when i suggested the name joe christmas, but whatev. then megan painted gary the snail on my left bicep and i coached her on the appearances of giraffes for her artistry that appeared on my right bicep. she thought that they had short legs, a short neck, and stripes, which pretty much embodies a zebra, not a giraffe. then, she couldn't spell giraffe, so she named him G-UNIT (and i had earlier named her parasauropholus DINO-MITE), which entailed much laughter. then she and kathryn showed me their "gang sign" that they came up with for their fellow novices in crew, which is spelling cow with their hands, so they painted cow on each other and megan gave kathryn a christmas tree on her chest. kathryn and megan then proceeded to paint all over their legs. then we went home, where i learned how to cook burgers and kathryn and megan splatter-painted the driveway with the sidewalk paint. it's really cool! i've decided to have a driveway-splatter-painting party someday. i was trying to do it with the brush, though, but instead of splattering onto the driveway, it splattered onto me. which was ok. then i went back inside, got a shower, and now i'm on lj and not writing two essays for government or making flash cards for the big scary ap english poetry test or reading the yellow wallpaper for said ap english class or studying for the big scary human anatomy test on the circulatory system and the names of all the major veins and arteries in the human body that i have tomorrow.
