No, I think think she is truly mad. And I'm no Rice hater.

Also, her husband of 40+ years died in 2002... she took it quite hard.

I think there might be something to that.

She's had two life-threatening illnesses plus the death of her husband.

It wouldn't be unusual to snap, fully or partially, after going through that.
