(no subject)
i realized that i have very few substantial posts ... it's kinda sad.
so, i had a fun weekend. My parents were in Kalamazoo visiting my brother and sister-in-law from saturday-monday. I enjoyed the freedom of not having to tell people where i was going every second, not having to be home at midnight, and not being told that i have to go places. My weekend consisted mostly of guild wars and work, with ben thrown in there a few times. We hung out Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday we got a handful of random people together to hang out. (Manda, Lisa, Don, Ben, and I) It was good times, Don left around 11ish and Manda and I soon followed suit. Then we hung out in her driveway on the hood of my car and talked for two hours. (Sorry about when you called Ben, she commandeered the phone and hung up and wouldn't let me call back) Anyway, look ma! I have a social life!
yesterday was kinda crazy.
i woke up around 10:30 when Ryan called me telling me he got delayed 3 hours coming home and that he'd be another hour-ish. I'm usually really good about being able to fall back asleep ... but the phone next to my ear kinda jolts me awake past the point of sleeping again. oh well, i got some good reading in. Ryan came at 11:30 and we hung out for a while, went and got lunch at Qdoba, ran some errands, went back to his house to "visit" the broadband (can't blame him, dial-up is traumatic), got DQ (mmm root beer float), stopped by zap zone (yeah, he missed it while he was gone), played some DDR. Then I had to head off to work.
work was fairly uneventful, we ran the shift with three hosts, which was really unnecessary, i was scheduled 5-9 and should have been out of there around 7, maybe 8 because Jessie is perfectly competent ... but guest manager decided i should stay until 9. I guess it ended up working out though, because i got more hours and ryan was gone till 9 anyway.
Got off work, went home and talked to my parents for a bit (who finally got home at 5:30ish), changed, and headed off to Ryan's. (yeah yeah, lot of ryan ... it was his first day back from NJ and i've got orientation thursday-friday and leaving for the UP saturday) We wanted to go see War of the Worlds, but it's not out yet, so we settled for Batman Begins. I thought they did a really good job with the movie and really enjoyed it. Awesome movie and time with my boyfriend followed by an awesome goodbye ... hey, what more could you ask for? It was a good night.
