"Weren't you adopting some battery Hens?"
"Yes, but stopping them from getting out of your garden is a problem - they can flap a bit and get up and over walls."
"You could have them on a leash..."
"But they they would flap half way into the neighbours garden and be yanked down to earth!"
"What about installing some metal piercings in their wings and setting up one of those system that stops trollies getting out of supermarket car parks?"
"So they get to the wall then get stuck on it? You would come home and poor Caroline would be there, sitting on the wall, wings stuck down, unable to move... actually, you could have superconducting magnets and make them levitate!"
"They would blow away in the wind!"
"Good point, and we are trying to stop them escaping, not give them a head start..."
