Well that subject pretty much sums up me. I"m far away from Russia, far away from school (in the sense that I"m just not in the mind-set), and far away from the Lord. Unfortunately, in this time of transition/or whatever you want to call it, I've distanced myself a bit from the only One who can change me, show me a bigger picture and most of all give me the comfort I so need. Today has been an especially rough day. School doesn't help much at all. It's so hard to persevere when there is little drive. And seminary is not undergrad-at all. And it seems the more honest I am with people the worse it gets!! But I guess with some things they just get worse before they get better. I e-mailed one of my professors and told him that I'm going to be turning in some things late b/c I actually want to not turn in crap and learn something. And I had a not so great convo with Lera earlier today. There was alot of miscommunication and it just wasn't good.
So I've been pretty obsessed with the song Far Away by Nickelback. So it's definitely about a love relationship but I saw some things there were relevant at least for me right now with my relationship with the Lord. Some of the lyrics I feel in my heart I"m crying to the Lord and some of them I feel like He's gently telling me. Like that He's loves me and misses me b/c I've been away for far too long. And Jesus gave it all so that I could know Him. I feel like I'm saying I needed to hear You say that You love me. And that He's saying He loves me and forgives me for being away for far too long. And that He's saying to hold on to Him and never let go. Powerful song.
