HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD ~and other things.
So, I started watching HOTD at 3AM, and I gotta say...
BEST THING EVER. I'm not one to fap over zombies (oh god, I should hope not) like some nerds I know IRL, but... This anime, it fascinates me. It may be because the animation is so pretty and *__* to look at, but I'm three episodes in and I'm loving it so far. Of course, there's a surplus fanservice of the boob&ass variety (I seriously WTF at this, because it tries to incorporate sex at the same time someone's being EATEN ALIVE), but it can be ignored if you just concentrate on the... cannibalism? Oddly placed humor?
I'm making it sound terrible, aren't I? D:
In short, there's ZOMBIES, ACTION, COOL CHARACTERS BEATING ZOMBIES UP IN EPIC WAYS, and it makes you feel basically helpless, which every zombie flick should. I haven't felt this terrified since playing Resident Evil, and I was too busy screaming and hiding myself to play that freaking game (which I have still not beaten fully by myself orz). The female characters get to kick ass too! Though they're sexualized quite a bit, and it annoys the ever-loving fuck out of me.
I also started Shiki! I've been alternating between HOTD and Shiki, because... well, Shiki is a horror anime too, but it makes me feel safer, lol. I can watch it without flailing at my screen. Thank you, amouisrafel, for the awesome alternative! I felt bad for Megumi when she died, but then she came back to life and I went back to being annoyed at her. Though her entry scene was AMAZING. So creepy. XD
TL;DR: HOTD has zombies and is awesome. Watch it. Shiki is amazing and has vampires. Watch that too.
And now a question: BLACK SWAN OR TANGLED? As you can see, I love dark, twisted things. But I also love everything about Tangled, too. I've heard Black Swan's ending sucks, but I'd still see it just for that feather-pulling scene in the preview, even if it did make me cringe and shiver in unpleasant ways. Tangled seems too... predictable. I feel like I know how it ends. So, sucky ending or predictable ending?
Also, new layout! My friends' page looks awful, though. D: Anyone know how to fix that? My CSS/HTML skils suck.
