A/N: I wanted to write something long about two of my OCs from a novel I'm trying to write, but it ended up just being a small back story of this particular AU. Kade is one of my OCs. Aw, that's so sad...! ;-; I loved how you made everything, from Kade's acceptance of the circumstances to the girl's reaction to the flower, seem so real. I'm vaguely reminded of the movie Five Centimeters Per Second in that life just tends to go that way sometimes. It's sad, but sometimes that's just how it's meant to be, I guess. I swear, though, my heart is really going out to poor Kade. I hope he becomes happy in the future.

I particularly liked this line:

She was beautiful and liked the same kind of juice did, and really, wasn't that all that mattered?

Indeed, when you're that age, that's all that matters. I just, I don't know, that line made me smile. =) If you really do make this a novel, I'd buy it in a heartbeat! I want to know what happens to Kade!

I like to make separate stories with the characters to get to know them more. If I ever get the urge, I'll write the rest of this story up. And, of course, I do hope Kade gets his happy ending too. Even if he's one of my less agreeable characters. XD

I think everyone deserves a happy ending! *nods* So what if he's disagreeable? I'm sure he has his cute moments, too, and that's all that matters! x3 If he doesn't get a happy ending, I fear I may have to weep all over your general person. (I know. You don't want that happening, do you? DO YOU? /joking, I swear xD)

asdfghjk I've actually started and trashed several versions of it so far. The farthest I've gotten into one was 50,000 words before I deleted it. XD;; I just, it's this fantasy plot based in the real world, so it's hard to get it to work right. I have all the characters and how I want their stories to end, just not a very solid plot. And yes, I hope to have it published someday! If I ever finish it;;

:D :D :D OF COURSE YOU'RE NOT BEING ANNOYING. Kade definitely has lots of cute moments. Most of it involves being grumpy and blush-y. XDD He's used to being indifferent to most people, so when Chris comes along and just does not take his bullshit, Kade very reluctantly starts to fall without realizing it. CUE ADORABLE CONFUSION. And I don't think I could take an unhappy ending with these two, I just wouldn't be able to take it. XDD

I see! =o So that's it! I can see why you'd be having trouble, then. Fantasy worlds can be hard enough to work out anyway, and when you mix them up with the real world it gets even more confusing. I'm glad to hear you feel the same way about unhappy endings! Because seriously, every time I read a book or watch an anime or something, and someone, say, dies in the end, I cry my eyes out. And then my face gets all red and blotty, my eyes bloodshot, and it's just an ugly experience that's better avoided. xDDD

AHHH, YES, EXACTLY. And it kind of sucks, because Kade is the kind of character that only works in this fantasy world. He'd just be a plain old woobie in the real world. He only works with his angst. XDD And thank you ashgdkal;sdl I'll need all the luck in the world.

IT IS AND I REALLY ADORE IT. I just want them to be together, yet they refuse to listen to me. Which sounds crazy because they're MY OWN CHARACTERS, but they really have minds of their own and just. Ugh.

OH MY GOODNESS SAME HERE. I watched Never Let Me Go about a month ago AND I STILL CANNOT THINK ABOUT IT WITHOUT TEARING UP. DDDDX After that movie I vowed never to write an ending like that. Ever. Because it messed me up so much. ;__;
