A drinking party happened in a small, sock-smelling room somewhere near his neighborhood. Toranosuke remembered drinking down the bottles without caring much for the piss-poor taste, insistent on ignoring his equally persistent gag reflex. Sometime around midnight, his taste buds had become as useful as deadweight, and he was left thinking those beers tasted closer to fruit punch than the hops and flat, watery substance they really were. Everything started to spin when he turned to look at the suddenly interesting door, and then Yamanaka had appeared. More surprising than his enlightenment to the entertainment of squeaky door handles, was his endearment toward Yamanaka’s presence.

He still had no fucking clue how that had come to be. His drunken self was satisfied with the idea of incandescent Yakisoba bringing on that miracle, however.

With his temporary drinking buddies already passed out in their own drool, Toranosuke blamed his lack of source material for his sudden attachment to Yamanaka at that point. Yamanaka was just laughing cheerily, and Toranosuke was staring at nothing across the room, very immersed in his self-appointed duty to stare the wall to death. Then, there was a warm hand on his forehead, and Toranosuke had no time to realize whose until he was being lugged away, batting at the person doing so.
