So, excuse my absence from LJ since school ended, but nothing terribly exciting has happened since I've returned home to ole Wallingford, PA. I keep saying I'm going to go hang out with Steve up the street, but I'm too lazy to actually go. I just can't imagine us playing video games for an entire day like we used to do, and I can't really think of a new pasttime that would be better. How does the time fly so fast at Penn?
Aside from that, I've been going to Chinese Christmas parties with the family. See, ever since I was in middle school, my parents and their college friends have been throwing parties every year at each others houses. It used to be like once a year, but now they party like twice a month and on random holidays. Christopher Columbus Day? Hoedown at Yang's! The parties actually pretty hardcore, now that I think about it. I mean, they usually start early in the afternoon and end after midnight. Usually my parents just go and talk about colleges and SAT scores, and I go hang with the other kids. It's getting kinda weird now that we're all either in college, or on the verge of going. But it's kinda cool to see how we've changed since we first met each other in middle school. Next party on the schedule: Michael's on the 1st.
The only time (aside from playing tennis with Steve) I've hung out with friends from HS was this past Monday night. Molly was at Julie's house and asked me to go over. I definitely drove over a boulder in someone's front yard on the way there. That was exciting. When I got there, Molly was doing henna on Julie's hand, and it looked really weird/funny. Sarah was there too and Rory showed up after a little while. After everybody had a henna thingie on their hands, we had a grand feast in Julie's kitchen (of pie, cheesecake, and fudge.) Then we played N64 in her basement. It was fun to just chill and catch up on old times. I've still got to see Jana and Loretta before the end of break. Perhaps we'll go ice skating? Mwhahaha, Loretta hates ice skating.
