summer begins....

I'm at Katie's house in Indy until Sunday. It's been such an amazing, stress-free week. I haven't had to go to any meetings or get up at the crack of dawn for work or class. Yesterday we went to the zoo. There was a baby elephant that I think was the most adorable thing that I have ever seen in my life and I wanted to steal him. But I didn't because I didn't want to make Katie responsible for harboring a fugitive. Today we went to the Apple store to buy Katie's brother an iPod and then we went to lunch with her cousin at Applebees. I've also read a lot in the past couple days and I've been able to watch t.v., and it's been pretty good. This is what it feels like not to live in chaos. Maybe I should just quit everything besides classes next semester and my life can be like this all the time. No more Panhellenic. No more sorority (can't mention which one since I'm officially disaffilated now until after Recruitment), no more CSUC, no more retreat team, no more teaching Honors 100, no more work in the writing comp. office. I would have so much free time to actually read books or watch tv or take naps. Sounds tempting.....
So, I'm staying with Katie this week because Tonya's wedding is on Saturday (yay for Tonya and Joe!!!!) and it would be a pain to go all the way home to Illinois and then have to come back here, so Katie offered her house for the week. Tomorrow we are going down to Muncie so I can finish cleaning hours at the church (augh). I'm looking forward to summer now. I got an email from Mrs. Ralston today and she wants me to baby-sit two mornings a week until camp starts and then one evening a week when camp starts, which is exciting because usually I stop baby-sitting after camp starts, but one evening a week will give me some extra pocket money (for maybe BWW's nights?) and then I can save the money I earn at camp for utilities and furniture for next year. I'm so excited to finally have my own room next year! It will be decorated in black and white in honor of the amazing World Series champions. I've almost told my dad twenty times now that we are going to the White Sox game in July, but then I remind myself that the tickets are his Father's Day gift so he can't know yet, but I'm just so excited about it. I'm not excited about getting my wisdom teeth out....I'm a little terrified in fact, but I can just lay on the couch and eat icecream and watch movies and the Sox.
