On Monday I went downtown with Lindsay and one of her friend's from SIU. Can I tell you how amazing downtown Chicago is? I just love being there and wandering around. There are all the people and stores and the lake and the museums. I want to move away from Illinois after I graduate, not because Illinois is a horrible place or I hate here (it's really not that bad and I'm happy enough here) but because I want to be on my own, away from my parents, able to do things for myself. I want to see what is out there. I'm never going to grow up if I don't take control of my own life, and to do that I need to be away from here. But anyway, the only reason (other than if I can't find a job anywhere else which scares me even though I'm two or two and a half years away from having to find a job) that I would stay in Illinois is if I could live downtown and teach somewhere near there. And I could have season tickets for the White Sox, currently the best team in baseball. And the Cubs pretty much such. Which is how it should be.
