Seriously?

So, I'm completely speechless to find that people actually still use this thing. Obviously, I haven't written an entry in...3 years. Aka, the life that I was starting way back in the day is coming to an end in the next year. But hey, I have nothing better to do, so let's catch up...

What have I been up to?

First Semester Freshman Year:
-I lived in the freshman girls dorm, Shaw Hall.
-My roommate was Kate Brink from the land of the groundhog, PA. (Love her!)
-My major was/is Accounting.
-I was currently still dating the same guy from high school. We'll leave names out for privacy purposes, but it's pretty obvious who it was. He still had a year left at MHS and things were going pretty good.
-My mother had a heart attack and killed my social life because I had to be home every weekend.
-Lesson learned: It is true what they say, never go home your first semester in college. Otherwise, you lose out on making any close friends while you're there.

Second Semester Freshman Year:
-Still resided in Shaw.
-Still had the same roommate.
-Still an Accounting major.
-Still dating the high school sweetheart.
-Mother was doing better and back to work, but I still went home every weekend, since I completely screwed up my social life the first semester.
-Grandmother, on the other hand, was not doing as well and passed away the week of or before finals.  I can't remember which, either way my life was top notch on the stress scale at that point in time.

Summer 2006:
-Worked at WC Physical Plant on the cleaning crews and monitored the FH weight room in the evenings.
-Completed a Utility Analysis in two weeks that was suppose to last one month of 5 years worth of utility bills. This was a result of the former lawsuit again WC with the gas company, which WC was not going to allow to happen again. After that, my name spread around campus like wildfire and I got a lot of recognition for it.

Sophomore Year:
-I started commuting because it was way more cheaper and at this point they hadn't installed the commuter fee.
-My old roommate transferred to Lock Haven (miss her like woh!).
-Continued with Accounting major. Since I survived my first year of accounting, it's a given that I wasn't going to change it from here on out.
-The high school sweetheart and I broke up after a year and a half relationship the first semester of sophomore year. At first I was bitter about it, but as time went on, the heart healed and we've stayed close friends.
-I received a bid from Kappa Delta Sorority first semester sophomore year and accepted. At the end of the semester, I became Magazine Chair.
-I was also secretary of College Republicans for a semester. Unfortunately, my involvement in the club diminished after sophomore year.
-Lesson learned: Every ending starts a new beginning. For me, the end of a long relationship started my new found independence and involvement in a fantastic organization.

Summer 2007:
-Worked again at WC Physical Plant. I spent most of the summer in the office doing payroll, work orders, inventory, etc. I also went and helped the cleaning crews as much as possible.
-Also worked as a weight room monitor.

Junior Year (recently ended):
-I continued to commute, but spent A LOT of time on campus.
-I joined the Titan Marching Band, mainly to fulfill my music IP.
-Made the decision to pick up a Human Resources Minor.
-Became a member of KD Council as Treasurer.
-Made a complete 180 of my social life.
-Met my current bf.
-And did I mention ended the year with the highest GPA I ever got from this place?
-Lesson learned: Work hard and get rewarded.

This Summer:
-I've been promoted to Intern under the Director of WC Physical Plant and I am now getting internship credit for working for the college, HA. The college is currently paying me to write this entry because I continue to finish the projects they throw at me way before they are due.
-In the evenings every other day I work in the weight room.
-Also, before I started my internship, I spent a week in Alaska for my 21st. One word: Amazing.

So yea. That's about the gist of my past 3 years. Senior year should be pretty good considering I've run out of classes to take for my major. I think I have three left, 2 of which I'm taking fall semester. If I would of planned accordingly, I could of graduated early, but who wants to enter the big people world earlier than they have to?

I'd like to end this entry with a dedication to someone very close to me who has passed away. May her soul rest in peace. RIP WC 6-6-08.
