1 Best Trip
It was actually my mini-visit to Chicago with Jenny because it was really all about our friendship and not much else. London/Paris was amazing, eye-opening, but also very stressful with the money situation. The Bahamas was also a wonderous adventure... I actually want to go to the Caribbean again some time. But yeah, that little pocket of time with Jenny in Chicago. Perfect.
2 Restaurant Moment
The time my friend David and I rode bikes to Dumbo and ate at Vinegar Hill House. They have everything down, the ambience, the food. All my meals there were fantastic actually! I had a great first date there with a cute boy I met online. Others...
Gramercy Tavern for my birthday lunch solo at the bar (took off from work and had the best day ever) and also the spontaneous and fantastically epic meal there with Alita. Also every meal I'd had in Queens (Flushing szechuan with bike peeps, Sripraphai with another great crew).

Can I admit it was totally Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain, followed by Setting the Table, by Danny Meyer? My life is consumed by my love of food consumption, and also by food service. And I love it. Two passionate men writing passionate tomes about food and food service.
