Well, the short of it, he likes her. As in 'would date her' likes her. Kinda puts him in a weird position since she has a boyfriend already, but he never did and still doesn't give a rat's ass about Mugen...

Manda told me he had a mama-complex type thing damn Freud... and I laugh at the idea cus that's scary... but Grimmjow generally likes/tolerates/approves of people who stand up for themselves and don't take shit from anybody. He likes people who are up-front with their feelings and motives and gravitates towards them. Tatsuki is all of those things and her flailing makes her increasingly fun to play with. Somewhere along the line, those playful urges turned a bit possessive. Something he'd feel for a girlfriend, I'd assume.

He actually didn't mean to tell her once he realized it, but he has a big mouth and says whatever the hell is on his mind. Being rejected hurt him a lot more than he'd ever show, especially the second time with the mistletoe event. >_> His poor little ego~

Now he pretty much stays away from her because seeing her makes him angry XD. Any and all talk about not giving a shit about her are lies though, cus he still likes her 8D, but he'll be damned if he admits he'd willingly be wrapped around her finger still...
