Relationships
Maka Albarn
What a psychopath. From their limited interactions, Lili has determined that Maka is a gorilla and a bully who goes into a barbarian-like rage whenever anyone disagrees with her. Her idiot father obviously never taught her that it's very rude and unladylike to fight because you're mad. She should probably get over herself before her blood pressure kills her before 35.
Spirit Albarn
Exactly the same as his daughter, except that he actually has a bit more at his disposal than annoying threats and Lili's secondhand embarrassment. Not that he doesn't have those things, but he also has too much trust in the shadiest guests Death City has to offer. He also thinks he can boss people around for no reason and punish them regardless of whether or not they broke any rules. Free speech, the right to privacy, and laws against kidnapping are definitely Things and he has no grasp whatsoever on any of them. It's surprising that he didn't come right over and smash her door in, when he tried to make her go to New York with him, and that tiny bit of self-control is the only thing keeping him from Near-levels of disdain.
Ken Amada
He seems sweet. He's just a kid and he's here all by himself and that's terrifying. He's smart, too. He was concerned about the cameras when Lili told him, and he didn't want to be treated like he was helpless, so she likes him. That reminded him of her, a little bit. She did kill her first jerk when she was twelve, who is she to say he can't take care of himself?
...Lili will still worry, though.
Minako Arisato
They work together at the Deadly Pretty Maid Cafe. She and Lili get along well enough, and she seems nice. Not particularly fascinating, but nice.
Minato Arisato
It's complicated.
Minato is the first person who made Lili feel comfortable in Death City. He's cute, charismatic, smart, and flirtatious. They got along very well. Too well. After a night of hot lovin' on that island cruise, he disappeared to go back home, pinging each and every one of Lili's fears about being loveless and abandoned along the way. Then, he had the nerve to come back life everything was fine, and send her into a frenzy of rage. In order to show that he cares (which he doesn't) and that he's worried about her (which she isn't) and that he's sorry (he might be), he wants to spend enough time with her to prove it. Meaning, he's in her apartment and isn't leaving until she forgives him. Also sharing her bed, but not getting any outside of the occasional snuggle. Why he bothers, she has no idea.
As to her actual feelings, though...mostly, she's scared. She was pulled in very deeply and very quickly the last time, and she's afraid that if she lets him in again, it'll end up the same way. Which is difficult to avoid, because he's always around. And she likes when he's around, but she doesn't know why he bothers with her. Yes, she's beautiful, and of course he wants to tap it, but nobody should be that determined. If that was all he wanted, he would have tried something by now, and he hasn't. But what is it? There's no reason to care about her that much, they hardly know each other. ...Right?
Miles Edgeworth
Idiot. Even if she didn't like Mello, she probably wouldn't have given him up to Edgeworth, because that man is so obscenely incompetent that he doesn't deserve to know. The burden of proof is on the prosecution, but he made her do it, and since she refused, case closed! Lili can teleport and/or stretch across the front and back of the same building and break two cameras at the exact same time. That makes sense. Job well done, sir.
Jules de Ferrier
Jules is flustered easily, and confused by the sexual liberation of the modern world. That's amusing! He appears to be very kind and polite, and he's the closest thing here to a reminder of home, so she enjoys spending time with him.
Erotica Jones
She is a very classy and intelligent lady, and probably doesn't have herpes. Oh, wait.
Franziska von Karma
She's very...militant, when it comes to her own prowess. Which she, of course, lacks. Just another Agency pig who thinks she's better than anyone else. Lili doesn't quite hate her, though, because she knows that Franziska loves her father very much, so she must be a good person deep down.
Katakura Kojuurou
Just another goon who soils himself in outrage when people tell him no, the only difference being that he gives long, drawn out speeches about it, and doesn't seem to notice when the person he is ranting at leaves to touch up her lipgloss. He did, however, train with her a few times, and it was quite enjoyable.
Rei Kurosawa
Rei is another one of Lili's coworkers. What sets her apart (barely) is that she treats Lili like a child whenever she has the audacity to open her big, rebellious mouth. She would have Lili hold her hand and force her to apologize, under threat of sending her to bed without supper, if she could. Go away.
Rose Lalonde
Another younger person with a healthy dose of speculation in them. Rose is cute. It would be nice to sit down with her and get to know her better.
Leo
Leo comes from a world that is very cruel, where he and others like him had a terrible situation thrust upon them by a world full of judgmental bigots. Lili knows that, and she thinks it's very sad, because Leo is a good person who's had to become not-so-good just to make it to the next day. She thinks that being in Death City could be good for him if he would let it. For all its flaws, this place is good for a fresh start, if one were to embrace that, but Lili worries that he won't. She cares about him a lot, and wishes that he would believe that. How long does she have to sit by his hospital bed, fix his injuries, bring him food, and kiss him in the streets before he realizes that?
Maito Gai
Those eyebrows...
Mello
Mello is a special one. He is many things, almost equal parts good and bad. He's very interesting, in that he is not one of an infinite number of sheeple housed by Death City. At the same time, he's a coward, for acknowledging that some of the policies of Death City are uncomfortable, but not saying anything about it. Instead, he works with them. He's the most paranoid person she's ever met, and the fact that he is so smart, and still justifies his alliance with Near is truly astounding. He also has cute scars, loves chocolate, breaks into a lovely accent when he's upset, and saved her life when she begged him not to. She likes him enough to forgive him without years and years of hassle, which says a great deal about her attachment to him.
Ishida Mitsunari
A very stubborn man, who believes to be entitled to see whatever inane requests he makes fulfilled. He must have also missed the update into the twenty-first century, judging by the way he calls her Woman and always seems to be one nudge away from throwing an apron at her and demanding a sandwich. He thinks he could kill her, though, which is a little endearing.
Roy Mustang
Roy Mustang is head of the Watch. By all means, he should be public enemy number two, behind Near, but he isn't. Perhaps it has something to do with the grace and professionalism with which he handles his naysayers. Lili doesn't like him, and she doesn't agree with him, but she does have a sort of grudging respect towards him, because in comparison with the rabid dogs under his command, he comes out looking very good. Also, he's very attractive, and given that he's a military man, she assumes the eyepatch is due to some injury he sustained in the middle of a heated battle, and if that's true, then it's very sexy.
Near
All things that are bad, are bad because of Near's continued existence. Her home world has Jin Kazama, who is literally a devil and seeks to plunge the world into chaos because he's a self-pitying jerk, and this world has Near, who is roughly equivalent due to his mind-blowing arrogance, his way of rationalizing the fact that he takes his insecurity and lack of social skills out on the entire world around him, and a level of paranoia that makes her honestly believe he plays with methamphetamine when his partner has his back turned. Dreams in which he dies are a semi-regular occurrence, and to be honest, they're a little arousing.
Eiríkur Ragnarsson
She really only talks to him for the stuttering and the blushing. Get a hold of yourself, boy!
