[An artist, huh? Lamb likes artists. She watches the feed, silently listening to the song.

When Rachel is finished she applauds.]

No, thank you. It has been quite a long time since I have seen such remarkable talent, especially from a girl so young.

[Well, girls so young in Rapture normally don't have a broad vocal range beyond what sounds like car parts being thrown into a large meat grinder, but why cheapen the compliment by bringing up that comparison?]

I've been working on my singing for, well, all of my life.

Ahh...I don't know.

[Her past experiences with singing weren't the most pleasant - especially when she was induced to sing by magical holly.]

What's a 'glee club'? I don't sing much, but I'm a star dancer!

A Glee Club is basically a club for a Show Choir, we dance and sing and perform. You'd be totally welcome if you're good at dancing!

Simply beautiful. Where did you learn to sing so well?

And I must say, you are masterful with words, too.

My two gay dads got me lessons when I was young, and I've stuck with it all my life.

That's very nice of you to say.

[A long, awkward silence follows. Not that Gil has anything against gays, you see, he is more shocked that Rachel talks so openly about it. He is quite intrigued by the idea, though.]

Oh, you are... quite welcome. And forgive me for gaping--

[He doesn't seem to realise that Rachel cannot see him.]

Well I guess it's still weird in a lot of places, but don't worry, I'm kind of used to that reaction. They love me just as much as a traditional family would, and I love them.
