i'm not sure as to how you would be able to present this to wynters...
i think it should probabaly start out with a "a number of people i have talked with disagree with your point of view as displayed in the Synapse article: [sdfjffsfsd]" or something to that effect. then some sort of elaboration on what said people constrewed (sp?) from the article then what the people's points of view are.
saying that these people also think of her as mean and unpopular, etc., would do us a dis-service in getting our point across.
as for my comment:
i don't like all the Winters bashing, but i found that the article was ill-advised "essay" and i was personally suprised by the conclusions that she came to.
At winter con when everyone was so confused about why they were seperating the "people of color" in to their own family group winters was defending the decision. she said that she had been to an anti-racism training before and that she was trying to rid herself of discrimination and prejudice. it seems to me that shes being courageous by riding the world of injustice. and i say "good for her," but writing an article saying accusing the UU comunity of being sexist is not the way to go about it.
Sure, UUs have their fundemental problems, but at the same time we're trying to right our wrongs. I disagree with the making any blanket statement that UUs are sexist or blanket statements in general.
