So here's the deal. On Friday, Feb 10th I am leaving for
Djibouti (a small country in Africa near Ethiopia, Somalia and Eritrea). I'll be working in a medical clinic for the Afar people, and in a library/bookshop, which is a mission outreach. My dad is flying there with me, on Air France, and we have a 12 hour layover in Paris so overall it'll probably be two days of travelling, and he is only staying for two weeks, but I'll be flying back the same route by myself six weeks later and arriving in San Francisco on March 27th. Right now I'm taking typhoid fever and malaria pills and those are unpleasant for my stomach. Hopefully the precautions will pay off and I won't get typhoid or malaria or AIDS or get run over by tanks from the French military bases! Seriously though, I'm really scared about flying internationally by myself and pretty much everything else about this, but I guess I should just trust God about things.
While I'm there, I'll have computer access so I'm going to try to send at least one or two email updates. So if any of you want to post your email adress in a comment, I'll add you to my "Yahoo List" and you'll get whatever updates I send.
Other exciting news: I'm coming to school on tuesday, so I'll be around during break. Two days after I get back from Africa I'm going to Taste of Chaos! Also, here are some pictures that Tojo took when we went to SF with Weiwei last saturday.
