Hospitals Like My Family Far Too Much.

Well, I suppose the good luck couldn't last forever...

Mum has a hernia. Right where her colostomy bag used to be, apparently. And it's also looped around, or something. She is annoyingly evasive on the details other than she'll probably be into the hospital in less than a month, and that she'll have to have an epidural (which she loathes quite deeply).

I tell you, I think the hospital is addicted to our genetic codes. It just keeps pulling us back... Sure, my parents are both in their sixties, but this is getting a tad ridiculous! In the last few years there's been Mum's bowel cancer - which included an iliostomy, several months of home nurse visits and constant changing of bags and finally the reverse iliostomy, both of her total knee replacements, Dad's illness, and now this. It's enough to make me want to suggest they demand refunds on shoddy bodies. However, only Dad would find that amusing so I won't say it to Mum.

On the good side, Ian now has his Bachelor of Arts (Psych.) and at the end of the year, if all goes well, I'll have my Certificate IV in Natural Therapies.
