Name: Ronald Knox
Fandom: Kuroshitsuji

Not much has been released as of yet on Ronald Knox's personal history, but widely accepted fanon paints him as a younger Death God-still possibly being trained in some areas (in particular by William Spears). As with his kind, he was likely brought up in Death God society where everything is business, business, business, and he's quite popular among the other staff as denoted by his talk of parties and receiving help from the girls in various departments.
Age: True age is a complete unknown, but physically he appears to be in his early twenties
Canon point: Directly after Sebastian Michaelis breaks William's glasses during their communal argument/battle-Ronald was still trying to decide if he should follow after the demon or stick with his partner

Personality: Ronald Knox has a very well-polished surface. It gleams, really. He's such a nice guy with all the trappings of the stereotype; he likes social gatherings, the ladies, nice suits, mowing your lawn and taking only the payment of a smile and a tall glass of lemonade-that sort of thing. He listens well enough and he smiles pretty. He does everything expected of that cool cat that hangs in the office lounge and talks about his summer vacations to Belgium because Belgium is just Not Here enough to be foreign but just Close enough that others can chime in with rumors they've heard or stories of their own. No conversation is complete without a warm chuckle or smile and Ronald is clean, wholesome fun. There's no need to stress in his presence because he will happily decide where you're going to dinner or what mixed drink would compliment your blouse. Don't worry about it. He has it covered.

But all of that? Yeah, you guessed it. It's the surface-this concept of a pleasant and easy to get along with person that's so. Very. Simple-that's the genius of it. Which isn't to say Ronald is harboring something deep and soulbinding. Underneath the Nice Guy not-façade (he does actually care about where you got your haircut or if you need a lift back to your apartment), there's no evil villain lurking. No ultimate hero that's trollin' until the Big Bad strikes. Ronald Knox is casually manipulative at best. Lonely and terrified of succumbing to 'Middle Child' syndrome at his worst. He's a goofy, friendly guy who happens to be worried about falling behind, is all, and so it's best to get along with everyone rather than wear his heart on his sleeve. Innately, he grasps onto whatever someone wants at the most basic level: a better body, a better job, a better soul to munch on-and he tries to relate. Ronald is all about common ground and creating some if none yet exists.

From that comes Ronald's whole 'mirror trick.' As casual as he is as a person, Ronald tries to up his ante around William (one of his superiors)-as much as he doesn't like embarrassing himself around others, if Grell (another superior) says he should have his own Death God catchphrase, he'll give it a try in front of the next demon he approaches. In other words, he's in a stage where he's still testing himself out. As there is no distinct Ronald Knox way of doing things (unless arriving perpetually five minutes late to work and never keeping a girlfriend for more than a week is a 'way'), he's constantly trying to figure out who best to emulate. At his core, Ronald really does respect those he works under or those who prove themselves to be powerful opponents (and the rest he gives the benefit of the doubt). So, why not pick and peck at their style and test out what works for him? He's young and experimental and often trying to find where he belongs and how he should be-in this way, Ronald adopts a bit of a chameleon effect and attempts to sympathize with everyone. 'Sorry, Mister Demon I'm Trying to Bring Into Custody, I'm only after you because this is my job.'

At this point, Ronald can come off as overeager at times and as a dreadful underachiever at others, but-as stated-he hasn't entirely come to terms with who Ronald Knox truly is. Once he grows up a little more and figures that out, he'll probably be a fairly average if clean-cut guy, but for now, he's half someone's younger brother and half that eccentric uncle that surfs on a lawnmower because he motherfucking can.

Powers/Abilities: As Ronnie is a Death God, he does have some rather unique abilities that come with his work. For starters, if he cuts an opponent with his Death Scythe of choice (in his case a rather red and vicious motorized lawnmower), he's able to pull forth their cinematic record-essentially, their collective soul and past experiences in movie-reel format. In canon, the purpose of this power is, essentially, that a Death God must judge those straddling the line between life and death based solely on what they see in their cinematic record (if they've proven themselves, they may have another chance at life-if not, their souls are collected).

Furthermore, Ronnie can utilize his lawnmower/Death Scythe as a weapon. Using it as his medium, he's able to perform feats of quite a bit of strength as well as-uh. Defy the laws of physics (and commonsense) by more or less riding the lawnmower downwards (after leaping from some rooftop) without suffering much at all from the impact. It can be assumed that he's a fairly tough individual and is able to withstand a good amount of damage and probably heal faster than a human would (though not nearly as quickly or cleanly as a demon or angel).
