I'm at home!! It is a trip I really needed and I can't explain why, but it's nice to be here!! I woke up really early to drive four hours to a job fair at the Toledo zoo...I'd really like to work there over the summer. I'll probably have to get another job. A restaurant would be nice, a lot of income I guess.

I've been a magnet for parking tickets lately, too, which is weird. Two $65 parking tickets and one $10 within like a month and a half? I'm retarded!!!

School has been extremely busy. Lots of projects going on and my graphic design portfolio is due at the end of the month. I've been anticipating this all year, and my stomach is queasy just thinking about it. I'm not sure how many are applying, but only twenty are accepted. A girl in my drawing class is a junior, and she's already in the program. She said she would show me her work, for examples and what not. She's already been very helpful! I brought home a project to work on over the weekend. I don't know what I'm going to do if I don't get accepted. Probably fine tune my portfolio over the summer, take what classes I can, and reapply. That's all I really can do. I'll probably be at Miami more than four years though. Lovely.

In my drawing class we have an artist exploration project, she calls it "Dialog with a Master" and I am thinking of "dialogging" with Edward Hopper. His work has such profound simplicity and his compositions are masterful in emoting loss, solitude and a sense of desperation which I find attractive. I'm excited for the project. I'm also interested in Santiago Calatrava's architecture, his European bridges and soaring, white spines of the BCE Place in Toronto are so majestic and futuristic yet graceful.

I've been working really obnoxious hours at work but in general, it's pretty fun. I am so exhausted though. Driving home today was both expensive and exhausting. I'm ready for bed already. Cait's still at work, she'll be coming home soon I think. HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND!
