an update, via shakespeare-meme-thing

So this whole return-to-LJ thing is not really as much, uh, happening as I hoped it would be. :| Anyway, you know that Shakespeare meme thing I have in my sidebar? As a means of updating here, I'm going to post that, with the most recent changes. And talk about them some! Hurrah! This will be fun.

Bold the ones you've seen stage productions of, italicize the ones you've seen movies of, underline the ones you've read or listened to, and add a star to any you've performed in, done readings of or otherwise theatrically participated.

All's Well That Ends Well
Antony and Cleopatra
As You Like It
The Comedy of Errors
Coriolanus
Cymbeline
Double Falsehood
Hamlet*
Henry IV, Part I
Henry IV, Part II - I saw this at Ashland!! I didn't like it as much as I liked the first part, which makes sense because I don't like the entire PLAY as much as the first part, because it is basically exactly the SAME as the first part, minus Percys. And Percys are the BEST PART.
Henry V
Henry VI, Part I
Henry VI, Part II
Henry VI, Part III
Henry VIII
Julius Caesar* - ASHLAND'S CAESAR. SOOOOOO GOOD. I WANT TO PUKE. It was so good though omg you guys and the guy who played Cassius was SCRUFFY AND HAD TATTOOS and was also really hot but um who's counting
King John
King Lear
Love's Labour's Lost - Again, Ashland.
Macbeth*
Measure for Measure
The Merchant of Venice
The Merry Wives of Windsor
A Midsummer Night's Dream*
Much Ado about Nothing - I still haven't seen the David Tennant/Catherine Tate version!! My sads. I'm waiting until my girlfriend can come over and watch it with me, which probably won't be until Friday, because a) finals and b) she lives in Satan's armpit.
Othello*
Pericles, Prince of Tyre
Richard II - AN AGE OF KINGS. ON DVD. CHRISTMAS PRESENT. SOOOOO GOOD. I was trying to watch Henry IV 1 the other night, but my mom came in and started getting grumpy because she wanted to watch Downton.
Richard III - I SAW. RICHARD III. WITH KEVIN SPACEY. AND ALSO THE WOMAN WHO PLAYED CALPURNIA IN ROME. SHE BREATHED THE SAME AIR AS JAMES PUREFOY AND TOBIAS MENZIES AND ALSO ME, I WAS BREATHING HER AIR oh my god maybe i should just go back to tumblr
Romeo and Juliet
The Taming of the Shrew - I'm confused as to why this was already bolded, because I don't think I've seen a production of Taming before, but CalShakes did a REALLY good production of Taming which I saw.
The Tempest
Timon of Athens
Titus Andronicus* - And I was in a production of Titus, at CalShakes conservatory. (where I met my girlfriend!!) I was Lucius. Apparently I have a thing for tormented young men committing morally grey acts? Idk but it was a lot of fun
Troilus and Cressida
Twelfth Night*
Two Gentlemen of Verona - I might make a separate post about this. CalShakes did a FANTASTIC musical adaptation of Two Gents, except minus the sexism and grossness and plus cute gay guys and charming songs and adorable hipsters.
Two Noble Kinsmen
The Winter's Tale*

...That should be it? If you care about my life, I've just finished applying to college. THANK GOD.

shakespeare on stage, shakespeare
