Tamaki's cell phone gave off an excited twitter, and he nearly jumped from his bed at the ringer before leaping for the phone.
The number listed wasn't familiar, but that was alright. Since he'd gotten a new phone from the people at the Travel Agency, he hadn't expected everything to be in order yet.
What if it was...no. Don't think about it Tamaki.
"...Hello?" Funny, there isn't any of the usual exuberance in his voice.
"Tamaki?" Haruhi's voice wavered across the reciever. "Hey! Where are you? Mr. Hughes here says he knows you and we're nearby. Can you help us get to you?"
The world froze. At least to Tamaki it did. The entire incident in the park came back to mind. She was outside? What if...?
He tried to take a breath, and ended up gulping before he actually managed it. But..Hughes was with her. So..maybe she was okay.
"..H-h-haruhi?" Still, even in his state of panic, he managed a small blush. "I'm..I'm at my house. In Cordova District. It..I..." He fumbled for his address, reciting it in a shaky voice. No yelling of joy, no melodrama. Nothing but a stutter and quiet voice.
Tamaki was quiet for a moment, and then smiled just a little bit. That's right. Haruhi didn't know about any of this. And if she wasn't screaming or asking him what was going on...then he didn't need to worry her.
Clearing his throat and taking a deep breath, he nodded, though of course she couldn't hear it. "Oh me? I'm fine, Haruhi? Why...are you worried?" He laughed at his own wit and stood from his bed.
"Just surprised to hear from you! Daddy has missed you SO much Haruhi~! So hurry on over, alright?"
A bazillion emotions chased each other through Haruhi's mind from iritation to relief. Mouth opening and closing like a stranded fish, Haruhi tried to formulate a response.
"Ta-t-tamaki...you..." She began, fumbled, began again and then just gave up. "You are iritating, you know that? Fine, we're on our way. See you soon."
She looked almost apologetically back at Hughes and heaved a sigh.
"But..but you're supposed to say you missed me too!" Tamaki whined a bit, honestly in a state of distress now that Haruhi was acting cold again. His past terror was...not forgotten, but dealt with, for now. He had more important things to be doing than sitting in his room, afraid.
When she hung up, he sobbed slightly. "Haruhi doesn't even miss me, Mother...." But Kyouya wasn't there either. He just sighed again.
Haruhi heaved a sigh as she walked alongside Hughes. "I can't believe he pretended to be all scared or something...It's so annoying when he doesn't mean it."
She shrugged. "I mean, the city looks just fine. It's not like anything really serious happened here, right Mr. Hughes?"
(ooc: i'm soooo sorry i took so long. *sigh of despair* i'm being bombarded by other things...)
Hughes wasn't sure how much he should say. He decided to err on the side of caution. "I believe Tamaki was worried you may have been sullied by the twins? He was very emphatic about their bad behavior, though I'm sure he was just being overdramatic."
"Oh, I'm sorry. Do come in, both of you, and I'll go get the young master." She replied sweetly. "I wasn't aware Tamaki-sama was expecting any friends or their parents. One moment!"
She let them in, showed them to a side parlor, and then disappeared into the rest of the house.
She pressed a few buttons. She pressed a few more. After another sucession of the same she finally found the section she was looking for.
"Hmm...I should probably call Tamaki. See if he can direct us better from here." She looked up at Hughes who nodded in return.
"Well, here goes..."

She looked up and shot an accusatory look at Hughes.
"Tamaki...what's going on?"

She walked quickly past the rows of colorful flowers and lush shrubbery that lined the cobblestone pathway to the house.
"What's the worst that can happed? We knock and we're wrong." Haruhi lifted the lion's head knocker and clanged sharply on the door.

"Oh my, were you looking for someone?" She asked politely. Tamaki had no idea that they were here already.

"Tell him he should come down soon before this knocks me over please." She grunted.
