Westerners constantly complain that their jobs are being sent to Taiwan, India and S. Korea. They don't have these complaints about Zimbabwe, Somolia, Cambodia and Rwanda.

Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Russia, China and countless others have done so with great success. Catastrophes in these countries make Western countries (at least the US) take notice, since it might affect their uncle Seamus, Giovanni, Pedro, Boris or Hu. Not too many Rwandan-Americans to care about what happens in Kilgali. And have you ever seen the phrase "Zimbabwen-American" before this moment?
