Well since it's been forever since I last updated, I figured now would be as good a time as any to share what's been going on in my life since I entered the crazy world of college.
College is seriously bittersweet. There's so many good times that the hard times can be counteracted. But for instance right now, I'm not in the best state of mind and that kind of just ruins everything else for me. I don't even know what it is anymore. Everytime I go home, I don't want to leave home. I'm not homesick, but I love the aspect of being with my family. At the same time though, I love being with my friends at New Paltz and everything is so comfortable here for me that I can pretty much call it home. I'm assuming and hoping that all these negative feelings will pass soon because I've had enough crying to last me a lifetime in the past couple of weeks. Plus, my roommate, who I really liked and got along with, just left here for good which totally threw me for a loop. The other half of the room is so...empty and void. It's weird to walk in here sometimes and it's even weirder to feel alone all the time. Luckily, a girl on my tennis team is moving in here by the end of the week so I'm hoping everthing runs smoothly.
Speaking of tennis, I helped the team kick some serious booty this season haha. In the very beginning of the season, I was doubting if I'd even survive the brutal pre-season bootcamp long enough to make the team. I was also doubting if I'd even make the team. Well...I made the team but I played exhibition. But, I don't give up that easily and with alot of damn hard work and determination, I made my way into the lineup and played 6th singles sometimes and 3rd doubles most of the time. It's weird going from being the best on my high school team and one of the top players in the county to being at the bottom of the lineup on a college team. It's humbling. So on and so forth, our team played in the SUNYACS which was a tournament that all the SUNY tennis teams played in and the New Paltz team had only won once before and after that had always came in second by a few points. Well this year we freakin WON and not only did we win as a team, but I won the 3rd doubles state title :P It pretty much made my life.
I got a tattoo...I still can't believe I actually went through with it. It's on my ankle and it's kanji for determination. Kanji is a form of Japanese. It looks beautiful. Here's a pic:
Anyways...so college life is crazy. Weekdays are routine..class food class food workout food sleep haha literally everyday. Weekends begin on Thursdays and bars are the place to be. Parties are pretty lame and overcrowded. And the best part of my week is not having Friday classes <33
I miss everyone. I can't wait until Thanksgiving!!!!
