tiredness can kill...

I felt the gig went quite well, it was quite hectic to begin with. With there being an old peoples home not too far away from the venue we had to have no music after 10:30 so we were on a tight schedule, so when we spoke to four star romance about 3 minutes before they were scheduled to go on stage and they were still 15 minutes away we kinda got a bit worried, we then found out there matt (their drummer) was going to be a further 15-20 minutes so we asked enthused if they wouldnt mind opening, and being the egotistical bastards they are, they refused. So it took dans conversational skills to convince them to open and even then dave kept delaying everything in hope that they wouldnt have to open. This really pissed off everyone that they could be that far up there own arses, the fact that we'd asked them to play this gig and that we were paying for everything, yet still willing to pay them out of the profits really got to us. But they eventually went on about 20 minutes late. Matt showed up around half way through their set. Four star played a good set, i hadnt heard much of their own stuff before and it was really good, need to get myself a copy of their cd! Then it was our turn! I was really looking forward to it, i had been for a while, as we were organising it we had sorta forgot we were playing so there was no chance for us to think about what could go wrong, or to get too drunk to play! It was one of the best sets we've played, it was definitely the most tiring for me, i couldnt feel my arms afterwards. I think we proved ourselves to a lot of people last night, and i think a lot of people now take us a lot more seriously and know were serious about the band and were not just a high school covers band. I think people were generally impressed, needless alley seemed to think we'd improved a lot since battle of the bands, which we definitely have i suppose. Needless Alley put on a great set as always, although there style has kind of changed, they have a kind of placebo, dark edge to their music now.

I had a good night, i'm thinking of organising another one on 10th July including so far, us and thigh high smile. Me and emily had a laugh last night, we became siamese twins, joined at the neck, with a hawaiian flowery necklace thingy. we spent the whole night joined together, we found it funny...not sure if anyone else did though...

im so tired now though, suppose its my own fault for not going to sleep last night. im too tired to write anymore...
