I was reading this very interesting article about this woman who went undercover as a man to see what it was like. One of the things she did as a man was try to pick up women. And she talked about about how when women talk to men, they don't face them, they only show their profile, because they're suspicious of men and what they want. As I was reading this I realized that I do this, not because I'm always suspicious of guys, but it just came natural (says the 16 years of social grooming in me.)
So now, as my new years resolution I vow to give everyone my full attention when speaking to them. Or at least make it seem like something they have to say matters. I've never been good at this.
I think this might be an infinitely better New years resolution that "eat healthy" or "stay organized." It's hard, but I think I can do it.
feedback is cool.
