Bastet, Stoneface, I'm sorry for my absence. The elevator seems to be repaired now, but it took me somewhere I didn't plan to go, and then wouldn't let me leave. I didn't mean to miss any shifts, and I'm more than willing to work a few extras to make up for whatever I was absent for.

Did I miss anything interesting?

It is good to see your handwriting again.

There seems to be an epidemic of rhythm, so if you find yourself dancing uncontrollably, do not be alarmed.

Thank you; I really didn't mean to be away so long. [[i don't think we've actually done much journal chatting, but since they worked together on the Guard i hope recognizing her handwriting is acceptable. :3]]

An epidemic of rhythm? Sounds like a bad Broadway musical. I'll keep that in mind. I don't think I'm a very good dancer, but I guess we'll see.

[Yep, plus she's 2nd-in-command of the Watch so I figure they'd know each other XD] It is not something you should hold yourself accountable for.

Broadway? [She has a book on that somewhere.] I do not think our own ability matters. It seems that the Sphere is directing our feet itself.

Yes, Broadway, it's [pause. how to explain...? it's been made relatively clear that she and Handmaiden come from VERY different places...] a form of entertainment. Actors dress up in costumes and fill roles in plays that have songs and a musical score. It's like acting out a story with a soundtrack, and sometimes they sing their conversations rather than speak them.

I guess that sounds a bit ridiculous.

[pause. lol.] Well, I guess I kind of always wanted to take a few dance lessons. Maybe this will be useful.

I see. It does sound rather unusual, but words are rarely sufficient to describe an experience. I will have to look for some sort of recording the next time there is an appropriate Wilderness.

That would be a good way to deal with the inconvenience, though it is not what I would call "dancing."
