Day 2: A PICTURE OF YOU AND THE PERSON YOU HAVE BEEN CLOSE WITH FOR A WHILE
Kathleen Elizabeth Anderson has been my aunt/best friend since I was 5 years old. I only ever saw her every other month due to her Mom's strict custody agreement with my step grandpa but when we got to hang out together, I had the best time.
She was always the first person I told things to. So many times we would stay up late talking about all of the things that were happening in our lives, and somehow we would end up making jokes about whatever it was. We didn't need adults because we had each other.
She was diagnosed with Autism when she was 8, and she found out she had tourettes when we started middle school. On Christmas Eve 2003, her mom passed away in her arms. After she died, Katy was diagnosed with depression and she was forced to leave her home and move in with a family she only ever saw every other month.
This girl has had a rough life, but she is still living it up. She always puts other people first. We lost touch for months, and as soon as I needed her, she jumped right back to being my go-to girl. I don't know what I would do without her.
She's so much more than my best friend.
