get ready to pray!

Let's see (knuckles cracking), what's been going down? Well, the last week was amazing. Let's go day by day. Wednesday - We didn't play that well because we were only a three-piece. Jon had to work late so he couldn't come. But God was praised and everyone at the BFWC had a good time and wants us back soon. Friday - Incredible time. Jon was there to complete us and most everything went very well. The sound was decent, even though it was in a gym. It was a lot of fun. Saturday - Extreme craziness all day long. Very stressful, but very rewarding. Everybody played well, especially Candlefuse. Course, they've been doing it longer than we have. We played about seven songs and for the most part it was all out worship. I loved it. This week has been incredible, and it's all been because of God.

The cool thing is that I get to keep doing this. We've still got about 2 or 3 more venues this month lined up. Here's the next one: We're playing this Wednesday night at 1st Nazarene at around 6:00p. We will once again be a three-piece. Jon voiced his thoughts and feelings last night and he feels that playing with us is not where he needs to be right now. There's no hard feelings. We all understand. The day before, we inducted our new member in - Will Bradley. Will plays guitar and as soon as he feels comfortable with the songs we play, he'll start. Right now he's just learning our stuff and sitting in on practices. I would like to have Jon back and be a 5-man band but I want Jon to do what he feels God is telling him to do. Keep us in your prayers as we make this transition.

Also pray for us about writing. We need to be writing our own stuff, in God's timing, of course. We're ready to start playing our own stuff. I think when it comes out it'll be a combination of David Crowder, Jars of Clay, and By the Tree. But God can write through us whatever he wants. Those are just the main themes in my mind right about now.

I'm off tomorrow! Yay! It's my first off day in about 2 months. I've been working 6 days a week somewhere around 48-50 hours a week and I'm tired. I have a regular day off now - Wednesday. This doesn't mean I'm going to waste it. I'll sleep til about 8 or 9:00a then get stuff done. The band's become a part-time job now in itself. I'm excited. I hope God let's me do it as a full-time job one day.

I'm still unsure about college. I got to thinking about why I had decided to go back. They're not the right reasons to go back. I'd more than likely fail because my heart and focus was not in it. I want to play my music at His feet the rest of my life and college doesn't feel like it fits into that equation. Pray for me about that.

Man, you guys have a lot to pray for me about! Get to praying! Seriously, guys, thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers. I'm so happy God's placed people in my life that pray for us. We cannot do this without prayer.

Let's go write something!

God bless you!
