"WE LOVE ELECTRICITY!" That's what the chiropractor's sign said as I drove to work this morning. Another day at my job, a job that will hopefully be gone soon. I'm now praying for a new job. It's a long story, but it all boils down to this - my uncle (boss) is the meanest and most arrogant man alive. He has treated me like a red-headed step child, and I can't take it anymore. As soon as I find another job, I'm putting in my two week notice. I'm pretty sure he'll go crazy and fire me before that, but I really couldn't care less. My parents are furious with him too. Here are some reasons I need a new job - 1) I'm working 48 hours a week and not getting paid overtime. 2) I've learned, especially over the past two weeks, that I cannot take off for anything, even if I ask way in advance. It seems I have to be dead to miss work, and then he'll probably yell at my coffin. 3) He yells a lot when simple conversation would suffice. 4) He has no respect for me whatsoever, lying about things I've done wrong and comparing me to a former worker (who has no correlation to me, therefore I shouldn't be judged next to them). I've just had it with him, and I know I don't have to work here. So, as soon as a door opens up somewhere else, I'm putting in my notice.
*deep breath* Anyways, we're playing tonight. Woohoo! We ended not getting to play tuesday night (my uncle's fault). He cost us $250! Ugh! Okay, okay. Enough. We are playing tonight at Farmstead Baptist for their 5th Quarter. It starts whenever the game's over, so I'm guessing that's going to be about 9:00 or 9:30. Pray for us today. We've got to do sound checks and practice a lot, and we need to keep our focus on Him.
Well, time to go and hope my uncle doesn't come in today.
