Ten days. We play for New Zion in Carbon Hill on July 30th at 7:00. I'm a bit concerned. Turns out Jon (rhythm) will be out of town until the day of the event at New Zion. So, he won't be able to practice with us. We're thinking about asking a friend of ours to practice with us until we play. I know it will turn out the way God wants it. It's at His feet now.
Last night was wonderful. We went to 7:22, a kind of youth service (mostly in the 18-25 year range). It was in the big town of Atlanta, GA, where the so-called "players" play. I didn't get in the bed last night until 2:00am. It was well worth it though. Awesome speaker, Lou Gigglio(sp?). Awesome worship. The whole night, God was just tugging at my heart, saying, "Do this for Me." I'm ready to forsake it all, if need be, to play for Him forever.
We're playing this Saturday at 1st Nazarene in Jasper at 7:00. Please, come out and support us. Buy a t-shirt or I'll get our manager, Jay, to crush your tiny skull. Just kidding.....but seriously.
I think I'm going to go buy Final Fantasy VII. The movie, FF7: Advent Children, is coming out in the fall and I want to be in the know. Cary tells me that it's about 100 hours long. I will either (a) thoroughly enjoy it and finish (b) play a few hours and decide that turn-base battles are not my thing, but get enough info so I can follow along with the movie or (c) never have time to play it in the first place. I'm guessing both b and c, but who knows? A is still in the running.
We're thinking about putting out a small 3-song demo, one for only promotional use. I called David Keith (Gintown Records) and got a quote for $250 for an 8-hour block, which I think is enough. Not a bad price at all.
I'm going to lean back and read. My neck is starting to hurt.
