bad logos
the following logo is for Par Plumbing, based out of 101 park ave. This building is around the corner from my office building, and in fact, was used as the external shot of george's workplace in season 9 of seinfeld.
look how awful this logo is. who designed this? if i have a leaky sink, the last thing i'm gonna do is hire Par Plumbing to stick their fucking finger in it. i can do that much myself. i don't need them. and not only are they putting their fingers in faucets, but they're doing a lousy job of it. IT'S STILL LEAKING.
seriously, its crappy ad compaigns like this that make me want to switch careers and go into advertising/marketing. i mean, check out the two compaigns i thought of when i was an IT intern at sudler & hennessey a few years ago. Now, I must admit, I didn't do the graphic design, but I did come up with these 2 (out of a total of 3) compaign themes for our marketing project (the other 5 members of the group were marketing/creative majors- they just stuck me into the project because i was the lone IT intern). anyway, onward with my creative juices:
