tomorrow is memorial day (in the usa) It really seems as if the whole city has left for the "holiday". Calling yesterday met with a steady string of answering machines and I do not think any cars have passed all morning. Weather has been cool and this is a favorite travel time. Spent some time experimenting with the alarm system.. it has many options but only two are really good for regular use. Securing the doors and windows with a single push of a remote button is good. A second button turns on a motion detector which alerts to any one in the house when I am away. a remote speaker asks for a code word and if is not correct the police are alerted immediately. There are many other options for special purposes. The best is a button which calls the alarm headquarters and turns on the remote speaker. If you ask for help or do nothing the alarm staff will notify: police or paramedics and call a friend
I slept late this morning... extra exercise last night. Had a light meal and will go out for fast food soon.
