So after having a totally crappy Summer "Blockbuster" season at the movies, the fall seems to be quite promising. Last week was Corpse Bride, not as good as Nightmare Before Christmas, but still very good. This week was Serenity, which is totally awesome and everyone should see, many times. The Greatest Game Ever Played looks pretty good for a Disney family flick. The Wallace & Grommit Movie comes out next week which should be awesome. Doom looks absolutely horrible but hopefully so bad that it will be funny, might be worth seeing either second run or drunk. Legend of Zorro seems like any other action sequel but it'll have action so it'll probably be decent. The Weatherman is a Nicholas Cage film that looks promising. Then in November is Chicken Little, Jarhead, Zathura, Harry Potter, and probably a few other things. Add to that all the good replaying of Halloween TV specials and horror movies on TV, it looks like a very good season.
