Today is World Kidney Day! (3/9/06)
World Kidney Day calls attention to the growing threat that kidney disease poses globally. The National Kidney Foundation is leading the U.S. efforts which are designed to build kidney disease awareness and educate those at risk about the importance of early detection. We are encouraging all Americans to learn their family health history to see if they are at increased risk for developing Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD).
