Days Off Rock
Day one of July 4 time off. I got up early as usual and attended a meeting on the phone for work. I was in and out of consciousness so I basically should have not called in at all.
Peter made me breakfast as usual. It's so wonderful and I feel sometimes I take it for granted, however, I really do appreciate having it so nice.
I got sucked into freaking Lifetime today. I watched movies from 10a-2p. Four hours I will never get back, but what the hell. First one was called Maid of Honor and as the name of implies, the maid of honor is a complete psycho. lol. Second I can't quite remember the name, but it was about a Houdini wanna be serial killer. Oye.
After losing half a day on that trash, I got ready and waited for Peter to get home. We started a cleaning task force. Peter got downstairs and I started upstairs. I never really make progress. I get blocked easily. I started thinking it would be nice if the garage was clean so I can move some of the unused junk down there. So I did just that. I cleaned out the garage. Went to Home Depot and bought a shelf to organize stuff on. Also bought a new door for one of my bedrooms (Peter had kicked it in while I was in Germany because he accidently locked it and the dogs were in there.. oye.. lol). Said door does not fit. It's 28 in wide. I previously bought a 30 inch. Also does not fit. They don't have 29 in at home depot. Urgh.
We ended the evening productivity by taking the buggy out for a washing. He was very dirty from our trip over the weekend to Jackpot. We went there on Sunday to see Kenny Rogers. I really had no idea who he was but we had free tickets so I thought what the hell. After hearing a few of his songs, I had flashbacks to working at Dairy Queen in high school when the managers made us listen to country. One of his songs sounded like Ghetto Superstar, also a song from high school days.. Islands in the stream... that is what we are.
I am so beat. Tomorrow is day two of fourth of July time off. one more day to clean up the house before my in-laws arrive. Woooo.
