So many things, so little time.
OBLIGATORY RANT ABOUT PARTYGEDDON/BORDERS/PUBLISHING COMPANY. JEALOUS ABOUT AFTERPARTY SHENANIGANS I AM MISSING OUT ON. RAH RAH RAH.
I'm eating 3 day old pasta leftovers because I can't get into the kitchen to cook, I can't be arsed to cook, I don't want to cook because as soon as I eat I feel sick. Matthew had to drive me back from London yesterday because I felt so sick I didn't think I'd be able to drive all the way home. It's probably just a manefestation of stress/nerves, but it's driving me insane. I think it's plain for all to see that I like my food. Eating 4/5 pieces of ravioli & feeling full/sick is not my idea of a good meal.
I'm covered in bruises from packing stuff and filling the car up on Saturday morning. Carrying a bookcase down stairs and into the car on your own - IN TORRENTIAL RAIN - not fun. So yeah, I was in an epic bad mood before I'd even set off. 5 minutes in the car with my iPod and I was singing away like an idiot. 10 minutes I was seat dancing away. 15 minutes in and I was grinning like a looney. Music cures all! Met Matthewman at Heathrow again and he drove into London town. Got lost, as we have everytime we've tried to drive into London. Matthew's raspberry & Googlemaps saved the day. Rolled up to the flat, street is lovely, all leafy and lush. Our building looks a wee bit ghetto from the outside, but our flat is fine when you get in. Bathroom is black fake marble tiled, which should be mega-ming, but I really like. In the bedroom there are 3 - yes 3! - double built in wardrobes with mirror doors. I'm already planning how I'm going to fill them! :D The flat is like 7 minutes walk from Kentish Town Tube, and it's such a lush leafy walk.
Did a teeny tiny bit of shopping a la charite...
Got these in white/cream - £6.99 Yes a bit expensive for charity shop bargains, but they are selling on ebay for £62 with a retail price of £80 so I'm quite pleased. And they're gorgeous. Oh hai shoe kink...I thought I'd got away!
Also on ebay - debating whether to bid on this wee bad boy:
Can't decide if it's genius or hideous.
EDIT - Did bit - didn't win. :( Oh well that's that one sorted...
Sunday...can't actually remember what we did...ooh went to Camden market. Man when I get paid...
Random other points from the past few days (mostly from Never Mind the Buzzcocks):
1. Simon Amstell's new hair - OM NOM NOM. I nearly cried when I saw it, but I do love it now.
2. Nick Grimshaw - you know I want his babies....or just to sit and listen to him talk to me all night. I do LOVE a Wakefield accent. Him or Ryan Jarman. UNF.
3. Bob Mortimer - yes I would (also - Vic Reeves - yes I would) NOT SURE WHY.
4. There is a shop near my new gaff in Kentish Town called "Jews for Jesus". Not sure what they sell/do.
I'm sure that there's more that I needed/wanted to say...
