The G word..........
Yep, it's Glastonbury weekend. Nope I am not going. This makes me sad. The one year where you don't have to sell your kidney to get a ticket is the year I am EPICLY poor and could not afford a ticket. I can afford one now, and they still have tickets left, but alas I could not get time off work at such short notice and Matthewman is unemployed. Boo hiss. If Jay-Z IS the reason loads of people ain't going then I hope they get Snoop Dogg or 50 Cent to headline next year! I could do with a stress free ticket purchase! Mind you, with the amount of weddings I have to go to next year (five, 1 my own hopefully, 2 abroad - Poland and Cyprus) I probably won't be able to afford it then. But I will go anyways. Having two kidneys is over-rated anyway, I'm sure Matthewman doesn't need both! ;)
So this weekend we are going back to The Donx in an effort to escape the Glasters madness (I was up at half 6 this morning and the first thing I saw was hundreds of happy campers plodding into Glasters on the news - half 6 FFS!) It probably won't work because my stepdad is music mad and will be watching the BBC coverage like his life depends on it. My boss said if it was quiet I could nick off early 'cos it's gonna be like a 4 hour drive, which is great. He's in the lab with me 'cos my usual senior (Linda) is off - she's in a field in Somerset.............bitch! (wherever I go Glasters is mocking me!)
I'm gonna try and hit up Bestival next year, Linda & Jonny both were raving about it when they came back. They said it's like a small Glastonbury, and they have a fancy dress day, so that's me sold! Here's me ranting about how I can't afford to go to Glasters then I'm going on about how I want to go to Bestival too! Still, BooshFest next weekend, that will have to be my outdoor musical event of the summer. There's also the Cardiff big weekend, which is great 'cos it's free! And Ash and Glasvegas are playing so it looks like good times.
