Bought tickets this morning for Los Campesinos! who are playing Koko in Feb. I'm VERY excited about this. I rung Maff and asked him if he fancied it and he'd said no before I even got past Los. Boy doesn't know good music. So I asked Twitter and got myself a date with Jake which is quite exciting as I haven't seen him for a while. White Rose Movement are playing Koko on Friday with Vivian Girls at Club NME for the bargain price of FIVE POUNDS so if Grace is back in the country I might try and persuade her to come along with me. Maff has again refused point blank. I've decided that 2010 is the year I take advantage of London's music availability. The Flowerpot is just down the road from me and has a band on every night and most importantly FREE ENTRY. The staff are lush and friendly despite being a bit too Shorditch for my own comfortableness (not even a word but you get the idea). It is now officially my favourite pub in London and they do a quiz Monday nights (Grace let's get on it - Ellie are you in?).
Stu was down from The Donx yesterday 'cos he's flying to New Zealand tonight. I really miss Stu, and I'm gutted he's going to be on the otherside of the world for the considerable future, if not forever. But there again, it's yet another reason to get me and Maff's arse on a plane and over there. The trouble is there are so many places I want to go: New York, Iceland, Norway, Australia/NZ and they're all expensive. BOO HISS WORLD, stop being so far away.
