Okay, so after Halloween, the veterans group on campus is having a bowling night to raise funds for families who have lost someone in Iraq or Afghanistan. This is about helping kids without parents, spouses who are widowed, or parents who've lost children. Yes, the military helps. No, it isn't always enough.
If you contact me, you can sign up to bowl on my team and collect sponsors for the team on your own. I can take five folks. You can form your own team (teams of six) and collect sponsors. Or you can just sponsor my team and come hang out and watch us make fools of ourselves. Donations are either a flat sum or per pin. It isn't a competition, it's purely for fun. Some of the guys bowling are suffering injuries that make it tough to be a top notch bowler, so all skill levels are welcome.
You can also bring food to share with the bowlers and sponsors if money isn't something you can do. Every little help is a big help.
