So once again I join you to rant. I know big gasp from everyone, now if the peanut gallery would hold its comments till the end....theirs even a button to press for them.

Anyway back to my rant. Paul was reading an article about how the primarily gay neighbourhoods are becoming increasingly filled with heterosexuals and families buying properties, and i have to say this strikes me as the greatest evil of homoequity there could be. Slowly we are turning into a nomadic culture, exiled from the spaces that we have made for the radical and outré, surrendering them to the minivan mom and 2.5 children demographic. I understand that for a large number of gay people the desire to fit in and be accepted is overwhelming, but I think our outlook and way of life is worth preserving, let us not be just another statistical demographic, show the world that gay culture means something, and tell those straight buggers to go back to the suburbs and leave our spaces alone.
Oh and by the way, the Castro Halloween block party being canceled is a tragic example of what we lose when the norms move in.
