So apparently I decided to quit livejournaling in 2006 then remembered how much I enjoyed it recently so I'm back. A whole lotta shit happened last year, most of which y'all are privy too, so I wont back track (unless you want details).
This weekend Lon and I are moving into our little rental on Dancy street in the French Place neighborhood. We are more than excited. It's a 2/1 from the 50's that is rumored to have been built by a UT geologist as the exterior is stone with special attention made to places around the doors and entry. I'll have to take a closer look and get back on this. The layout is perfect with a long living/dining room that leads to a kitchen. Two bedrooms separated by a bath are on the left side of the house, one of which Lon will use an office. We both really like light colors so we're going with a beach color scheme and feel. Lauren Dolinsky of LD Design Studio (www.designld.com) makes these gorgeous sustainable planters, so we're hoping to have her make some custom for us. Oh, and Lon's parents gave us an amazing grill for Christmas, so expect bbq's in the near future. If you're free this weekend try to stop by and say hello...
Also, after working like crazy to become a runner over the past few months, I'm happy to report I've lost just over 20 lbs! Strange thing about it is I never thought I would need to loose so much until I saw pics from New Years and compared them to Lon's b-day in October -- uh thank god we decided to become runners! I want to loose 15+ more, which will require me to get back on track with forgoing sugars and most fried food :( More importantly, I'm looking forward to the time when we are ready to do serious half and then full marathons. That will be fantastic.
