People are seriously starting to make me question their humanity

Jan 04, 2011 10:02

I was at the Equestrian Center and someone slid up beside me to say "They want to see you in the office."

Now, when you are as rebellious, outspoken, and generally against the grain as I am, my first reaction was "What did I do now?"

Apparently, I was not in trouble but something else was.

Aww. That is the most adorable bunny ever. Unfortunately I am too far away and am not allowed any more pets. I hope she gets a good home soon.

*chuckle* Love the last shot there :) "They...they're my tiny COUSINS!!!"

If we could have a bunny I'd definitely consider it. I think Mi-kun would rebel, however, and I would definitely NOT want to suffer the poor bun-bun through a trip in a car that could total up to 10 hours if traffic is bad :(

They are really awesome pets. I used to have one that lived in my garden until I met a gal who let them run around her yard and dig holes and otherwise had run of the place so he went to live there. She was in San Diego and stayed warmer year round. Unfortunately, I don't have her contact info or name anymore. Blah!

The cats don't know what to make of rabbits because they're too big to eat but they are not cats.

Sister! I had a foster rabbit for three years before I finally found him some nice people who wanted a cat but were allergic to them. Good luck with this little girl!

PS - Is this the official Bunny Pimping post? If so, I will spread the link around!

Ya know, I will take the pimpage thanks. As adorable as she is, and low maintenance, I am far too busy to spend my morning as I did.
feed cats and children
Take kids to school
shower
check on bunny and clean her cage
take off horse blanket
come back to let bunny out for some exercise
work (it's now almost noon by this point)
put bunny back
attempt to REALLY work

*sigh*

BUNNY! *grabby hands* I've been wanting a bunny for ages. Sadly, we are not in a position to get any more animals right now (just moved in with M's dad, who is a dog person only, so we have to wait 'til we buy our own place next year or so). :(

Also, yes, people SUCK. Although on the bright side, sometimes they do see the light. On another website, I just read a comment earlier from someone who thoughtlessly abandoned her cat when she was younger, thinking it could fend for herself, then 3 years later found it still searching for her in the place that she'd ditched it, and her heart just broke realizing what she'd done, so she took it back home (it's now 12 and fat and happy) and vowed never to do that to an animal again. So... there's hope? Yes?

Well, glad to see that it had a happy ending, but oh man, what that poor cat went through for 3 years...

Buns are great fun. I'm sure you played with Shawn's when he had her.

Yeah, that's the same reaction I had. Initially just shock and horror at what that poor baby must have gone through for 3 years, but then hope, because we only ever seem to hear the animal cruelty stories where the people never give a crap or seem to learn their lesson, and it's nice to hear about someone genuinely realizing what a horrible thing they did and changing for the better, and trying to heal the damage they've done.
